Twint is Switzerland’s leading digital wallet and mobile payment solution, offering a secure and easy way to make cashless payments both online and in-store. Integrated with major Swiss banks, Twint supports millions of users with features like peer-to-peer transfers and loyalty programs, making it the go-to app for digital payments across Switzerland.
The challenge.
Twint faced the challenge of scaling its mobile payment solution to meet rapidly growing user demand and expanding feature requirements. With the app supporting over 1.5 million users, Twint needed a partner to quickly build a dedicated team of skilled mobile engineers and QA specialists to accelerate development while ensuring high performance and stability. The goal was to introduce new functionalities, such as enhanced peer-to-peer transfers, loyalty programs, and seamless integration with multiple banking systems, all while maintaining strict compliance and security standards. Additionally, Twint required a reliable infrastructure to automate testing and streamline CI/CD processes, minimizing deployment risks and ensuring a smooth user experience.
The solution.
To enhance Twint’s mobile app development, we established and scaled a dedicated team consisting of Android and iOS developers, and QA engineers, enabling Twint to accelerate the development and testing of its mobile payment app. The team worked on core development and refinement of Twint’s mobile applications, using a modern tech stack to deliver a smooth user experience and ensure compatibility across a wide range of devices. They focused on adding new features like peer-to-peer payments, a buy now, pay later option, and loyalty programs while enhancing the app’s performance to support Twint’s rapidly growing user base.
